HourVoice

HourVoice is a "workplace transparency platform" that improves labor standards compliance. It helps states and municipalities fight wage theft and other violations more efficiently than through complaint-driven enforcement.

It consists of a free smartphone app for workers and an analytics workbench for labor standards officials.

HourVoice collects information from workers, aggregates and anonymizes the data, then visualizes it for enforcement officials to conduct strategic or programmatic enforcement. This approach complements the traditional, but often inadequate, complaint-driven process.

In the app, workers can track their hours, rate their employer, find better employers, and answer daily questions about their working conditions. When workers answer a question, they get a Insight into their rights.

Cities can ask their own questions and provide their own rights insights.
