Meter Feeder, Inc. is a minority owned parking technology company that is currently being used in over 25 municipalities. The company was founded in 2014 by James Gibbs and Daniel Lopretto, who had worked together as freelance developers for many years. The genesis for Meter Feeder began when a friend of the founders expressed frustration over coin-operated parking meters and had numerous unpaid tickets due to the cumbersome and antiquated payment process. Shortly after, James and Daniel came up with the initial concept for Meter Feeder.
Meter Feeder won a hackathon, run by Rackspace, and was accepted into Y Combinator as a member of its Winter 2016 class and participated in the March 2016 Demo Day.
