Serving over 25 clients since 2014, Nutter Consulting creates innovative strategies to advance smart city, sustainability, and equity goals.
Nutter Consulting is one of the first consulting firms established in the US focused on smart city consulting. Working with cities, foundations, and nonprofit organizations, we develop strategic plans and policy frameworks that incorporate new uses of technology and data. We help our clients connect new technology projects with existing goals and embed outcomes to address climate change, increase economic development, or enhance citizen engagement as well as digital equity.
Our experienced, dynamic and innovative team draws on over nearly three decades of experience delivering comprehensive strategic plans, facilitating innovative stakeholder convenings, developing insightful community engagement strategies and creating relevant market and policy analysis.
Nutter Consulting is led by Melanie Nutter, former Director of the San Francisco Department of the Environment and former Deputy Director for Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Our offices are located in San Francisco and Chicago.
