PlanetM Startup Grants mobility startups to test their technologies on Michigan roadways or at Michigan's state-of-the-art testing facilities.

The PlanetM Testing Grant will accelerate innovation by providing mobility companies the opportunity to access the following Michigan advanced testing facilities:
Mcity at the University of Michigan (UM) American Center for Mobility (ACM) GM Mobility Research Center (GMMRC) at Kettering University (KU) Michigan Unmanned Aerial Systems Consortium (MUASC) Keweenaw Research Center (KRC) at Michigan Technological University (MTU) Other test sites may be added in the future. The reduced cost will allow mobility companies to focus their resources on enhancing and proving out their technologies, and deepen ties to the Michigan mobility ecosystem.

TPlanetM has transitioned the PlanetM Pilot Grant funds to the COVID-19 Mobility Solutions Grant, which will provide funding to mobility solutions that address the crucial challenges presented by the spread of COVID-19 within the state of Michigan.
Grants will look to fund both near and long term mobility solutions that address the spread of COVID-19, including those that:
Limit human interaction Expand no-touch technologies Deliver food and supplies Integrate virus detection and prevention measures (e.g., safeguarding transit)
