Dilax

Dilax Systems provides passenger counting systems for transit.

Our Products

SLS-1000

Product Overview

Dilax has developed and manufactured its own passenger counting sensors since 1988 and supplies both the hardware and the analytics layer. The SLS-1000 uses structured-light 3D sensing, with a laser projector and camera building a depth profile and integrated AI distinguishing people from bicycles and wheelchairs. An onboard counting unit stores and transmits data to a landside server, where Citisense combines it with timetable, location and third-party data to produce reports, forecasts and KPIs. Samplics supports sample-trip planning for partially equipped fleets.

Research Competitors

CleverCount Clever Devices

CleverCount is an automatic passenger counting solution built on iris IRMA MATRIX time-of-flight sensors working with Clever Devices' own IVN onboard computer. Counts feed CleverInsights for cleaning, validation and NTD reporting, with Ridecheck Plus for survey management and CleverReports for wider agency dashboards. The APC reporting layer can be deployed standalone, alongside third-party systems, or as part of the complete CleverCount solution. Clever Devices supplies a broad ITS portfolio, so purchase orders typically bundle APC with other systems.

myAvail Avail

myAvail is a cloud-based Enterprise Transit Management Solution combining CAD/AVL, real-time passenger information, onboard vehicle hardware and the myStop rider app under a single login. Automatic passenger counting is one module alongside ADA announcements, fare collection and vehicle health monitoring, consolidated through one onboard data router. Avail installs APC sensors for agencies rather than manufacturing them; iris is a named partner. The company is employee-owned and headquartered in State College, Pennsylvania, and targets small and mid-sized agencies.

ETA Transit APC ETA Transit

ETA supplies automatic passenger counting as an integrated solution rather than a sensor of its own, letting agencies select from supported hardware or connect equipment already installed. Its Vehicle Logic Unit reads the sensors and transmits counts in real time to SPOT, ETA's cloud CAD/AVL platform, whose reporting engine produces tabular, graphical and analytical ridership reports. Tally is the survey, validation and NTD-certification layer, used to run sample trips and reconcile automated against manual counts. ETA deployed the first Xovis, then HELLA, APC sensors in the US in 2013 at Miami, Florida.
