Crime Fighter BEAST LIMS Crime Fighter BEAST (Bar Coded Evidence Analysis Statistical Tracking) is a forensic laboratory information management system from Porter Lee Corporation. It records and tracks case, item, and sample data with barcode-based chain of custody, sequenced analyses across disciplines, notes, and report generation. Additional functions cover training, research, supply ordering, billing, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance. The vendor also lists a DNA workflow automation module and interfaces to analytical instruments.
COBIS The Combined Ballistic Identification System is an automated electronic pistol and revolver ballistic databank. The ballistics databank is fully integrated with the Crime Fighter BEAST LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System). This system provides a complete chain-of-custody history for all ballistic submissions with automated reporting and tracking.
